This strata management company is dysfunctional, questionable, lacks accountability for their actions, is dismissive (from the very top down) and has high staff turnover when it comes to strata managers. The strata manager changes every two weeks. Do not recommend.
Our experience with W.T. Newey & Co was very poor. Communication was lacking, and the way they handled the process was unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable commercial real estate agency.
I regret my experience with W T Newey. Despite a signed heads of agreement and a paid deposit, the landlord didn’t proceed, and I waited over five months for a partial refund (under 50%), attributed to costs. In my view, avoid paying any deposit before a fully executed lease to protect yourself.
This agency is completely untrustworthy. They handed us the property in bad condition — pen drawings on the walls, peeling paint — and we had to accept it only because we urgently needed a place. At the end of the tenancy, they never contacted us for the outgoing inspection, never sent any notice about bond deductions, and then took our entire bond.
