The pottery barn / capital one visa runs scams through the shopping emails offering discounts if you buy through the card. If call for status of your credit, you get the run around. I would get through to someone then they would tell me to call another number. it happened 4 times.... the last guy gave me a website and said the help feature would put me in touch with someone but no, just more answers to common questions. Will be cancelling this credit card shortly.
We recently purchased an open-box Livingston bookcase from Pottery Barn. We understood that the piece had minor damage, as that was clearly shown in the photos. The product was also listed as being in “Good” condition (see attached image). What was not disclosed anywhere in the photos or description was that the shelf pegs were missing. Filed BBB complaint 25227924. Company refuses to acknowledge my issue and only gives a canned response. This company and it's subsidiaries (West Elm, Pottery Barn, et al) are on my do not support list.
I purchased two Pottery Barn Hill Ceramic Table Lamps, and one arrived damaged. What should have been a simple replacement became nearly six weeks of repeated customer-service contacts, conflicting information, delays, and escalation. Don’t BUY these sucks. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my recent purchase from Pottery Barn. I ordered a chandelier, and the quality is absolutely unacceptable. The chandelier is completely uneven, the chain lengths are mismatched, and the connecting parts don’t even fit together. It is completely defective.What makes it even worse is their customer service.
