I have been going to St Michael Wound Care for several months. Waiting periods have gradually increased to waiting 1 hr to 1.5 hrs to beyond appointment times. There is a sign at check-in regarding "short staffing", which is chronic throughout St Michael medical facilities. I have talked to the Wound Care program director and staff about the delays, and chronic understaffing of nurses seems to be the problem. 10:30 appt still waiting at 11:15.couldnt tell me how long it would be. I have other 11 oclock appt which i missed and 12 o'clock appt and other 1 o'clock Ppt. I have other life to. Often 20 min late but today was ridiculous. So I left. I can do it myself and I have home health in a couple days. By.
I first started seeing these people at Wound Care on Nov 5th 2019 for a badly septic infected lower left leg and foot and just recently was so disappointed when i was discharged by them still wounded and needing treatment on Feb 27 2024. due to the fact that for almost 5 years each time i went for a visit i took 2 or 3 pictures with my cellphone of my wounded leg and foot and the treatment being done on it to show other doctors and the insurance company what was being done to me on a regular basis each visit. Very good staff and doctors. Good attitude. Bedside manner. Take time to listen and find out what's going on. Don't feel like you're on an assembly line! Feel SO much better at this place versus the wound clinic in Tacoma.
