Employees were unfriendly in multiple instances.
Excellent experience, great customer service, good local recommendations. It's in the corner of Chinatown so there is a lot of good food. On Valentine's Day staff left a rose on me door, very sweet. The building is old and in the middle of the city, so there is noise from the traffic, sometimes people yelling on the street at night. They provide ear plugs in the room. Wyndham lists free Wi-Fi as a benefit for members who boo with Wyndham but the hotel denies it. Wyndham doesn't list any exceptions to this policy. The TV can't be used without paying the WiFi fee to link to your phone.
Historic hotel turned into luxury condo in the middle of union square is a bucket list dream. Just found out today, 2-15-2020, that the hotel will do a major renovation of 8 months, starting September first. Update: 3-18-2022. Remodel is all done. Looks amazing. Very modern. Update: 06-11-2022, returned to stay in a remodeled handicap suite. Nice big bathrooms and open hallway for wheelchair access.
