I recently used Woody's service and was greatly disappointed. My impression was they were more interested in milking the service for more money than fixing the problem, thus creating additional unneeded service calls. My first red-flag was Woody was going to charge me $49.00 for admin warranty paperwork for a part that cost $30.00, but have been free due to parts warranty. I have used Woody's for general service and recently had them replace my heat pump. They are professional and gave me the best deal.
My wife and I live and swear by Checkbook Magazine, a Consumers Report magazine for the Washington D C greater metropolitan area. They recieved honors for both quality and fair pricing. Even then, you never really know for sure. We have dealt with a number of companies, some rated highly and some average like the company that installed the HVAC system in our newest home. For fast and courteous service, call Woody's. I replaced my thermostat and blew a fuse on the furnace board one Saturday evening (yeah, not too smart, but I'd done it many times before with no trouble). So a cold Sunday morning, no heat. We had just moved in a few months earlier. Furnace installer said, "Oh, we'll get to you sometime Monday." I will not repeat what I told them.
