My husband was seen in the ER at Woodwinds hospital today for a possible stroke. All of the staff there, from the security people to the nurses and the doctor were outstanding. They were kind, attentive, and professional. I give them five stars!
I had the worst experience at Woodwinds Hospital emergency room in Woodbury yesterday. The service was terrible from the start — long waits, no communication, and no sense that anyone cared about the patients. They lied about the wait times and kept saying it would be “soon,” but hours went by without any help or attention. If I could give zero stars I would. They DO NOT follow the order that patients came in. The last 3 people that have gotten rooms came in up to an hour after I did. Completely unacceptable!
I received efficient care. All my questions was answered. I found out that I am pregnant. It’s my first pregnancy that I mentioned to the nurse. Why did the doctor assumed I was pregnant for the third time? Bias much. Yes, I am African American and 29 with a good career and partner. No, I’m not pregnant or have lots of kids with multiple baby baby daddies on section 8 housing. Just a heads up the doctor is bias. Noorma is a RN at woodwinds and Noorma falsely accused me of inappropriate behavior and called security on me without cause. I was shocked and deeply hurt by this. I did not act aggressively or make threats at any point. When I calmly confronted Norma about her lie in the presence of the doctor and security guard, she denied it directly to my face despite the fact that I had recorded part of the incident on my phone for my safety.
