We highly recommend this place! Jim was awesome and very quickly helped my wife and I determine why we owed so much on taxes for the last few years. Not only that but he gave us a few great solutions to mitigate the issue. If you've been scratching your head over tax problems like we were, these folks will sort you out!
Jim is old school, experienced in taxes and financial matters. He listened to me, reviewed some docs and asked good questions. He then told me what I needed to consider, in fact said that I was on track on my own and didn’t need his services. It was a good exchange and I recommend him for his knowledge and honesty. I wish all service providers were this forthright!
I've been working with Jim since 2021. Most recently, he helped me solve some problems on my 2020 taxes when I filed them on my own. He hopped on the phone with me, met with me in his office, spent hours on the phone with the city to get it resolved, and drafted an email for me to send to the city to request abatement. He's incredibly friendly and understanding and is always willing to do the right thing by his clients. I'll be using Woodstock Tax Service again this year!
We've used Woodstock Tax Service for several years and have always been very pleased with the quick turnaround every year. Very recently I scheduled an in-person meeting with Jim Schaller for a few specific questions and he was very helpful and steered me in the right direction for the upcoming year. On top of that, Jim is a fun guy to chat with - a great communicator that cares about his clients and their financial well-being.
For a true beginner, starting a business is stressful. The last thing I want to do is spend hours and hours of my time combing through the IRS website figuring out what I need to keep track of for my business taxes…. I tried and it was too much.
