Regrettably, my year here is up, but I truly wish I could stay longer! I’ve lived in several apartments in Ventura, and this one is by far the best. I wish they all could be this nice. Several key features stand out making this a wonderful apartment complex. It doesn’t have that cramped feel that generally typifies an “apartment complex”. This place is a nightmare and the property management company is the worst. They up your rent every year to the maximum allowable by law. They put a clause into your lease so that you will never be able to go month-to-month; it feels like entrapment. The Essex Property Management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. The neighbors that I share a wall with are being moved due to an uncontrolled mold problem that we were never notified of. I am trying to get out of here as soon as a possibly can! Do not move in here.
I had a fantastic experience working with Christine S. during my recent move. From the start to finish I always felt like her #1 priority. She was professional, organized, and incredibly responsive. She made the entire process seamless and took the stress out of finding a new home. If you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable and truly cares about their residents, I highly recommend asking for Christine!
We are actually so upset with the way the management of this building deals with residents trying to re-lease their apartment. We have been going back and forth for three months and have been completely manipulated into signing a lease that is $200 more a month than what the same unit is going for on their website.
