Kari the manager had a Hispanic employee ask her if he could leave and she said some something about “you people” and really upset the employee… It was a racial thing and I felt uncomfortable…. But I’m also taking things and spinning them in a completely wrong way. I’m just joking, that interaction did not happen in a negative manner, instead we had a really friendly interaction and I saw how Kari interacted and joked with her employees and it seemed like a really cohesive, synergistic, and fun work unit. Such a nice location! Pretty busy spot, but there are plenty of seating options on the main floor, upstairs and outside in the sun.
All drinks and food is fantastic, service is great, only thing I have an issue with is the website not being updated to inform whats in season. Overall great established.
The staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is great. But the quality of an espresso drink was *terrible* when I gave it a try. The foam was both overheated and the opposite of microfoam. A blown seafoam texture, or maybe bubble bath. The espresso shot was cold, sitting in the bottom of a gigantic mug like dregs, and short. The whole thing just didn't work on any dimension you might evaluate it. Maybe the blended drinks are their thing? But I would skip espresso drinks unless you like punishment and wasting money.
