I enrolled in The Woodmen Life Medicare Supplement G for 2025. The person who sold me the policy was very helpful to get me enrolled. Now he doesn't even answer emails. It must be the company's first year offering the Medicare plans. There is no website where you can pay your premiums or review any claims, etc. because the actual premiums and claims are processed through Mutual of Omaha as I understand it. Mutual of Omaha doesn't allow the premiums to be paid through their website either. It is very difficult to get in touch... read more

My grandfather is at the point of needing end of life care. With this I need to liquidate his life insurance policy. I call and call but no will answer or the numbers listed aren’t even active. I email the manager and don’t hear back for weeks at a time. This company is jeopardizing the well being of my grandfather and our family by making it impossible to apply for assistance of any kind since we can’t get it liquidated. Make sure you keep your whole life policy if you have one and don’t be fooled into changing to anything else as we were. My husband has paid his premiums since he was 17 and now at age 65 will end up with no cash benefits nor will there be a death benefit! Highway ROBBERY!!!?? So my Father has a policy with Woodmen life face value is $15,000 and has been paying since 2003 22 years for a total of $31,000 my mom who has paid all the bills has past from covid so i now take care of my 86yo Father and pay his bills and figuring his insurance stuff out so i called Woodmen life to find out a value report and was told the cash value is only $4,000 i asked how much has he paid in she say's $31,000 she then explains a payment was missed during the month of my moms death and Woodmen life had to take a loan o... read more

The representative for my family member failed to inform me that the policy holder must sign the beneficiary change form in accordance with Missouri laws. Therefore, the changes did not get updated. I left a message with the representative’s supervisor and never received a call back. For a company handling finances, their lack of attention to detail is extremely disturbing.

(continuation from my 2/16/2025 review) Let me tell you about my family’s recent horror story with Woodmen Life. This is long but is well worth your time to read. My mother passed away 4 months ago (early October 2024). We learned she had 7 Woodmen Life annuities (2 qualified and 5 non-qualified) and two life insurance policies.
