I took our dog Maude here for a heart and abdominal workup on a referral from out local vet. Dr Mix and the staff were wonderful in all respects, we got all the time we needed and Maude got a thorough exam as well as the ultrasound workups. Dr Mix was excellent at explaining what was going on so that I could understand. What I really liked was being expected to be with my dog the entire time, which put Maude at more ease and allowed me to see the untrasound. Maude has separation anxiety and was very nervous, being separated ... read more

We took our 11 year old Sheltie, Piper, to Dr. Barker from referral by our primary vet. Liver enzyme counts were high, giving rise to suspicions of liver disease or possible cancer. We saw Dr. Barker for an ultrasound for Piper. She was attentive, tender, sympathetic, and wonderfully professional. Based upon her preliminary exam she suspected it was his gall bladder. That is what the ultrasound confirmed - no cancer, no liver disease, just gall bladder irritation. Currently Piper is on medication and doing marvelously. We co... read more

I work at another hospital, but I had an appointment for my personal dog (who has decided to be a bit of a cardiac/IM disaster) this morning. The staff was great, the facility is clean, and we were out in less than an hour. The report was sent back to the rDVM at my hospital within hours. While we didn't get the greatest news, Dexter has some amazing DVMs and staff on his team and we're going to fight as long as he's happy! Dexter says thank you to all who had a hand in his care and I'm sure we will (unfortunately!) be back ... read more

Although I have only seen them twice with my Brussels Griffon, Oz, I am thoroughly impressed with their knowledge, excellent diagnostic equipment and the way they have treated Oz. So kind and gentle. No rushing through exams. I am so glad I took my boy there.

We have been taking our animals with special medical needs to Dr. Barker for five years now. She is not only thorough in her exam and evaluation, but also thoughtful, gentle and kind — to both the animals and their people. Love Woodlands! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was referred to see Dr. Barker for our cat Sadie in Feb 2018. She was diagnosed with lymphoma and she started her on a cancer treatment that was next to nothing in cost. Sadie responded well to the treatment and she went into remission. In Jan 2019, Sadie was not feeling well again and we did more tests. She stopped responding to all of her treatments and her kidneys were failing. We put her down Jan 15. We can not thank Dr. Barker and her staff enough for the love and compassion they showed our Sadie. We are forever grate... read more
