A lot of horses are traveling this fall. It is important to know that to be legal going across state lines a horse must be accompanied with a current coggins and an interstate health paper. Whether your Horse is going trail riding, showing or to a sale make sure your paper work is in order. Remember that for us to write a health paper we must have a destination and a legible coggins paper and a date you are leaving. Having this information makes our job easier.
CONGRATULATIONS Dr. Kline! Had good luck in Fort Worth at the 2019 AQHA Select World Show...Finished 3rd overall in the breakaway calf roping finals!

Proper hoof care is a major component in owning any horse, but ponies especially. The pony in the grass was obviously neglected of routine care, proper and diligent hoof trims were performed to try and get him to normal hoof length.

Lately it seems like we are seeing a lot of horses that are sore in their back and pelvis areas. These places are anatomically challenging areas to inject and for that reason this weekend Dr. Kline is attending a 2 day seminar and wet lab that focuses on the diagnoses and treatment of lamenesses in the back, pelvis and hip areas. We will be looking forward to sharing new information so that we can better diagnose and treat your equine athlete.
Our ultrasound exams are finding that some mares are still not cycling right, hopefully this more consistently warm weather will help jump start these mares in estrous so we can breed them for 2020. Call for a prebreeding ultrasound on your mare today!
