"A place to call home". I am about to move to the Woodland Pond Independent Living Community from NYC. Anything you might dream about is available here. The apartments are gorgeous with views of mountain ranges, sunrises and sunsets that look like paintings. The staff cares about your well being, your interests, and you. The people who live here are intellects, artists, writers and professionals. Imagine moving there during Covid 19, knowing no one became ill. Governor Cuomo sent a letter of congratulations to the staff and ... read more
Business response:
Diane - thank you so much for your kind words. Your apartment looks absolutely beautiful! We look forward to having you join our Woodland Pond family soon!
We agree with everything Deborah has said. Our very clever CEO closed us down earlier than most places. And so far we have no resident cases of COVID-19.The isolation is trying but in addition to meals we have newspapers, mail, packages, etc. brought to us by staff and volunteer residents. Plus, it's spring and flowers are coming up everywhere. Management, staff and residents are always supportive of one another and this is a great place to be!
I am an 89 years old artist and retired University Professor. Normally artists because of their personalities and space needs would not consider living in a Retirement Community. I was reluctant but it has been one of my best choices. It has given myself and my wife a new life, one we never would have had: new friends and much more. And I continue to be productive and more important content. I feel very lucky. Norman Sasowsky

Her apartment is so lovely that I go visit her when I need some peace. I often eat with her in the dining room or coffee shop. It is so friendly there that the staff includes me in their family. They take care of all my mom's needs. I haven't been able to see her for a month because of Covid-19, but in response to the virus they have increased staff, changed the way they do thi... read more
The staff and residents here are amazing! Management is doing an excellent job of keeping us safe from the COVID-19 virus. They are even bringing our meals and mail right to our doors. I’m continuing to lead the twice a week yoga class. But instead of doing it in the usual way, I’m doing it in front of the closed circuit TV camera. The other residents now watch and practice in the comfort of their own homes. I’m so glad I’m here. 🥰
The CEO and staff have gone above and beyond to keep the residents here safe and well provided for during the COVID19 pandemic. I feel privileged to live in this community.
I absolutely recommend Woodland Pond. My brother is there for rehab after a total hip replacement. The care is top notch. Everyone is conscientious and courteous. I will be forever grateful that we chose this facility. Thank you!!!
