Husband and I stayed here while in Alpine County for our 3rd wedding anniversary (mid July 2017). The owners were very lovely & accommodating. The room was clean and well furnished. Air conditioned, + Wi-Fi was available and worked well. We will be back next time we travel to the area!
Ron and his family were the nicest folks you could meet. We broke down and they offered us hospitality and the use of their phone. I had just suffered the loss of a loved one and was on my way home from the funeral when they saved the day! Lovely hotel and family!
For Kirkwood riders and Grover Hot Springs-goers, the Woodfords Inn is the only choice. Ron and Donna are fantastic hosts - they're so sweet and always keep the rooms in great condition. You're only a half-hour away from the Wood, so it's easy to get up and go on a powder day.
Great spot for the right price, very close to Kirkwood and Grover Hot Springs. It's a go-to for sure.
This is my home away from home in the winter! There is no better place to stay close to Kirkwood, and you'll be hard pressed to find hosts as sweet as the owners, Ron and Donna. The rooms are clean, spacious, reasonably priced, and tastefully decorated. Plus, the rooms on the ground floor are dog friendly. You won't be disappointed!
