ONLY GO THERE IF YOU ENJOY BEING HUMILIATED! A big window sign states "we buy gold and silver" - so imagine my humiliation when, after waiting in line for an hour, I handed over 14 World War II 1942-1945 silver nickels and the employee picked through each shaking his head and looking up irritated he said:"No we don't buy these!" He made me feel like a prize idiot.
Wooden Nickel....more like plugged nickel I went in there once and found the whole experience distasteful. They seem to think they are a cut above anyone who walks in the door. They are overpriced and refuse to lower there prices for clearly inferior products.
Awful service and horrible management I ordered a dvd that they had listed as a widescreen deluxe edition dvd and received the cheaper standard definition version and they told me that it was my mistake when on the receipt it distinctly said it was the widescreen edition that I ordered. Customer service started to get rude because they did not want to claim it as a mistake on their part and it took them a month to tell me that they didn't send me the widescreen version because they didn't have it and proceeded to call me rud... read more
Fun Place to browse and buy Wooden Nickel is a fun place to browse around and to find those unique items. Convenient to get to in the dowtown area. Employees are really nice and courteous. It is also a loan and pawn type shop. They are professional and helpful here. They have all sorts of different items for sale. We just like to go every now and then and check it out. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes parking is hard to find, but it is downtown, so it is worth the walk around!

Wooden Nickel Trading Co is Horrible Most of their items for sale seem to be almost the same price as if i bought new. For having so many employees you would expect to have better customer service. Rude and unfriendly is how i was treated and felt. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE and advise to shop somewhere else. Look around there are business that are friendly and want your business elsewhere.
Nasty Hateful Seller - Deceptive Sale Practices I purchased a coin from this company in an on line sale and the picture clearly showed a much better quality of markings on the coin than what I received. When I confronted seller they became hateful, sarcastic and down right nasty. To top it off they require insurance but don't make it clear in the sales that you have to pay it.
