Bad place for family! – Called manager, "Drew" regarding a complaint of a rude patron that he obviously knew once I described her as the blonde sitting outside the door. He defended her rude behavior in saying "She is usually drunk..."He went on to tell us to come back tomorrow. I don't think so! A loyal patron for many years spending time and money there with family and friends...so much for local support! Drunkenness is not an excuse for rude behavior!
Rude owner, poor customer service, bad food – This is the only real bar in Hillsborough but I would never go back. My husband and I went there twice. The first time was shortly after we moved (new to the area) and were wearing our favorite college team shirt after moving all day. Apparently, the owner took issue with the college and basically told us to leave the bar. Ignore x93ml – This is my favorite little pub in the Durham/Chapel Hill/Hillsborough area. I have NEVER seen the staff being unfriendly or rude to anyone! Their weekend waitress is the cutest little thing in the Triangle. They make their own wood-smoked barbecue, Their reuben sandwich is locally famous. My wife loves the hamburgers because they are not so huge they overwhelm her. thieving wait staff – not recommended .simply because the staff cant be trusted . the food was good but, i left a cash tip thinking i was helping out the waitress . good ol'non reportable cash !!! she added another tip on my receipt AFTER i signed it . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great, Fun Place - Excellent Customer Service! – To start - for being a smalltown pub, the food is great. Try the cheeseburger or one of there specials. They also have some of the best bourbon selections around. As for the customer service, just introduce yourself when they greet you and they will remember your name from there on out; EXCELLENT customer service. Just an all around fun place!
Great customer service. Truely a place where everybody knows your name and they're always glad yu came. – The WN is a place where the locals go to meet each other and find out what's going on in the neighborhood. The food i great. The juke box is always playing cool ecclectic music. The staff are friendly people who make everyone feel at home.
Best pub this side of London – We love the Wooden Nickel and go as often as we can. It has a great relaxed ambience, great food and specials, good beer of course, and the service is above and beyond. It's not fancy, and if you're looking for something even mildly ostentatious, this is not it. But if you want to relax over a pint, it's the place for you.
