Absolutely wonderful food and service. Everything was extremely good.
Had been one of my favorite places to take guests to and hadn’t been to the new location. Was really disappointed with the service and some of the food wasn’t as good. We sat there with dirty dishes and napkins forever as our server and others kept walking by. When we asked our server if he could please remove the mountain of dirty napkins he seemed aloof and confused on why we would want it cleared… They seemed understaffed for the size of their larger location.
Food and service are exceptional, but it is noisier than I wish it to be. But that's just me. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy the company and food.
Wooden City is the best restaurant that we've found in the Tacoma area. The food is always fantastic, as is the service and cocktails. Definitely make a reservation, otherwise you're likely in for a serious wait.
Had the Jerk chicken wings- the wings were cooked with no real jerk seasonings- being from Caribbean it was disappointing in taste flavour! Chicken had good color and texture but the meat also tasted recooked and dry! I observed a server when we arrived , plating cheese cake with her hands and no cloves during the prep. The atmosphere was great and the greeting was great! We were seated within a 15 minutes ! I hope they can pick a better menu
