The Wooden Boat Inn is an absolute gem - quiet, quirky, cozy, and in a perfect location. You can walk to downtown Clayton, the Antique Boat Museum, and more, and it’s an easy drive to the rest of the Thousand Islands. Pia is a wonderful host: she warmly welcomed me and my wife, made sure we were comfortable, and taught us how to feed the chipmunks that run around her lovely courtyard! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
This is my 2nd time staying and it is fabulous. Can't say enough about the entire experience everytime I come. The host is the best I have ever had and have been to many others
From the Schitt’s Creek-themed room that gave us all the laughs, to the cozy screened-in porch with its coffee and tea setup (yes, please!), and the charming outdoor patio—The Wooden Boat Inn was exactly what we didn’t know we needed. Our Montreal plans may have unraveled, but stumbling upon Clayton and landing at Pia’s place felt like fate in flannel. If you’re after a spot that’s cute, clean, quiet, and comfier than you’d expect—look no further. Pia’s got hospitality down to a science. 🛶☕❤️
“I am positively bedeviled with meetings, et cetera…” except swap “meetings” for “screaming internally at how ICONIC this hotel room is.” As someone named David, stepping into a full-blown replica of Moira Rose’s bedroom felt… spiritual.
