Our child was admitted to ACH with concerns for respiratory symptoms after having fevers and symptoms for 2 weeks. Based on her symptoms and lab results the ED provider and overnight admitting provider had concerns for a secondary bacterial infection and started antibiotics. Dr Wood-Katz discontinued the antibiotic stating that a positive result on the viral panel would explain the labs.
