I wish Dr. Dyson had screened me for domestic violence before performing the sterilization that I only wanted as a last resort to avoid being trapped in that situation. Now I do not know if I will be able to have children. It seemed like he was not very good at listening and only took me seriously when there was a man present to support what I was saying. I made my appointment over a month ago but it wasn’t until after I arrived that I was told the doctor I had scheduled with was no longer taking new patients. The receptionist told me they called me twice to let me know. I pulled up my phone and showed her no missed calls or voicemails from the clinic. (I also have my voicemails transcribed to text because of my job, and there were no transcribed voicemails from the clinic.) I had my first baby here and it was exactly the kind of care I needed and wanted. I was so thankful to have a much more hands off approach and no pressure to have extra and unnecessary medical interventions and medications. Everything worked out perfectly and the ladies working after I gave birth were very helpful and kind.

I saw several different nurse midwifes and OB's during my first pregnancy and was pleased with the care and experience offered by all.
