This happened about 3 years ago but the memory is still fresh. My gynecologist was taking my copper IUD out and putting a new one, it hurt a lot and I was bleeding a lot. At my most awkward and weakest moment she didn’t comfort me, rather, to my shock, she was complaining. In the end, she said, you know I tried my best, I HATE WASTING IUDS. That last sentence was the last straw and I never used IUD again. I think the gynecologist at this particular location could use some empathy and bedside manner training.

My gynecologist told me I was due for a pap smear even though it had only been 9 months since my previous one. I told her it had only been 9 months and she said "the system says you're due now". I felt misled into getting a test that my insurance only covers every 12 months. I needed to pay $800 for this when it would have been completely covered by my insurance if I had waited 3 more months :( Update - Kaiser did call me to resolve the issue and waive the fees.
