Too slow. Took 2 hours for a 10 min mammogram and to see the dr for literally 2 min
I had a skin-sparing unilateral mastectomy performed by Dr. Felsen. She did a beautiful job. I highly recommend her. In addition to her surgical skill, she advised me of my options and allowed me space to make my own decision. While I know she had the skill to successfully complete a lumpectomy even with the position of my tumor, I weighed the 100% chance of needing radiation with a lumpectomy against the lesser chance I might need radiation after a mastectomy. During my checkup today I had to have blood drawn. Earlier this month LabCorp tried both arms and could not “find a vein.” Mary at WCAWI nailed it on the first try and not only got the blood they needed but also the blood for the failed LabCorp tests!
