Tammy Novak is a mean, cold person. If you are looking for a kind gyno, you have come to the wrong place. Her mentality is "suck it up". I did not allow her to complete a procedure because I was in so much pain. She then snapped off her gloves and said "you just aren't meant to get this done, stick to what you already use" and stormed out of the room. When I asked she said she doesn't believe in prescribing anything to help with pain. Please check her Yelp reviews.
I have been seeing Dr. Shapiro for many years and liked the practice for routine annual exam. They are also very good about insurance and keeping you informed on cost. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with a miscarriage, and nobody was available for an ultrasound during regular business hours on a Thursday morning. This is a huge practice with multiple locations. Hours listed on google are all incorrect. I spent 4 hours trying to get help. I have been a patient of Dr. Novak for years now. Every 6 months I get ultrasounds and have follow ups because I have endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I have always had a great experience. The doctor and nurses try to answer all questions and are pretty friendly. Some office staff they have had may not have much of a personality but I've never had a bad experience or issues with anyone being rude or going out of their way to be mean.
