You say you welcome feedback but when my baby grandson died in January 2024 you never bothered to even acknowledge our feedback. Neither mine or my daughter's. Disrespectful and a bad situation made worse by a lack of compassion. Everyone with nothing to do on a quiet night just standing around gawking. Avoid Wollongong hospital if you can.
I had to give 1 star rating as this hospital does not deserve a star at all main receptionist rude won't put me throug to sd I needed to know if the letter my dr emailed to them is still valid for me tomorrow for me to be admitted and as for shellharbour hospital no better the nurses and doctors at that hospital are very nasty in Ed and the wards toono use putting in a complaint as they point the finger at you when there's 3 fingers pointing back at them don't go to wollongong hospital or shellharbou go to Sydney treatment m... read more
Wollongong Hospital ED Is not safe! Watched an elderly lady who appeared to be in her 90s collapse and hit her head on the cement floor after waiting in the ED waiting room for over 8 hrs. She was unconcious and made gargling sounds and appeared to have died or been gravely injured! 8+ drs ( who hadn't made an appearance all night) suddenly appeared and took her to resus. Great service and nice staff nurses and doctor very professional
Antenatal care department - worse when it comes to answering any calls. They send you a message with a number to confirm things, but number is always not working (see below message they send with incorrect number). I go through the main hospital to put me through and the phone rings for 10 mins at a time and hangs up - been doing this over 2 days. The reception at the main hospital said "maybe they are at lunch" but like this for 2 days lol its a hospital... there should always be someone at reception in every department. Wo... read more
