My son was seen in the ER on July 8th for difficulty breathing due to an asthma attack—our first emergency room experience here in Florida. I was beyond grateful for the exceptional care he received. We unfortunately had to make a visit here at the end of our recent vacation for my daughter. There was almost no wait time and every caregiver we saw was patient and had amazing bedside manner. They made sure my daughter was comfortable and gave her great care.
Upon arrival, we were pleased to find the facility clean and free of long wait times. We were quickly checked in, which offered a sense of reassurance after what had been a stressful situation. However, our positive impression quickly diminished once we were brought into the treatment area. The nurse who attended to us exhibited a lack of engagement and communication. Ok with medical care for my young one but their billing practices are bad. They bill you quick and high. Ended up paying $1800 for emergency room usage from 6:45 am to 11 AM where they tested for flu, covid and RSV. All came negative, gave some nebulizer and sent us home. And that room itself isn’t a full room! Shocked to see bill. Tried to work with insurance provider but looks like their payment agreements are hard to be reviewed even after complaints.
