I arrived for an appointment that was booked using the WNY Medical call center. I confirmed with them twice as to the time I should arrive. Upon arrival, I was told by the health assistant that I was late and needed to reschedule the appointment. I was frustrated, knowing the time I was told. I expressed my disappointment and was met with hostility from the health assistant and then a cold shoulder from the PA. WNY Medical really needs to get their act together. Left the practice because the new doctor did not take my problems seriously. Now they keep calling me and it's really annoying. Just stop calling me!!!
Not surprised by reading all these terrible reviews. I live in AZ and manage an Assisted Living Home. Their PA, Brenda Leaird Kelly, who represented herself as a doctor, left me an extremely threatening voicemail yesterday. Mind you, I dont even know her, and claimed to be my residents doctor in New York, which was no longer true as he had dropped this office well over 10 yrs ago. My doctor unfortunately moved to this practice and I followed because I like her and her bedside manner. This place is horrible, buildings are run down and gross, anything to make ore profit. They call you NON stop and harass you. I was told that I needed a Covid virtual appointment because I got the antibody test. My doctor was like no you didn’t and they shouldn’t be forcing people to come in. when my Dr left the practice, I had to see a different provider. I was taking 3 different pain meds due to extensive spinal fusion surgery among other health problems. On the first visit she lectured me about the pain meds are bad for me. I started to explain why I had been taking them, she cut me off. Every visit after was worse than the previous. She took all the meds but 1. I went from being able to walk around 10,000 steps a day. Now I am lucky if I walk 2,000 steps. She told me that I just have to deal with it. Really??... read more
Horrible practice. When medication needs to be refilled they refuse stating you need to be seen even though you were just seen a month ago. We are not talking about ibuprofen we are talking about insulin. What kind of physician does this? Ever since WNY Medical acquired Dr Nelsons patients care has significantly declined.
I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment in Orchard Park (as instructed) and waited more than an hour and a half past my appointment time before I asked how much longer and was told there were still 6 patients ahead of me waiting to see one provider. I waited a full two hours past my appointment time before I decided to leave. A gentleman in the waiting area told me that he is often instructed to arrive for his appointments one hour late as this is the norm. Worst experience I've had with a doctor's office in my life. After a week, and at least 8 calls, I'm still waiting for my prescription to be refilled (2 calls from the pharmacy and at least 6 from me) A medication I need and can withdrawal from. You can never speak directly with someone in the office. The phone goes directly to the answering service even though in calling within business hours. Can't wait to have all my records switched to another practice and never have to deal with these people again!!!!!! 😡
