I went to WNC Ophthalmology for cataract treatment. My experience with them could not have been better. Dr. Karo and the staff are competent, efficient and friendly. They treated me like an individual, and I never once felt like I was on some sort of medical conveyor belt. I was able to get an initial appointment and schedule surgery quickly -- it took ten days from the time my optometrist gave me the referral until I had surgery on my first eye. Wonderful experience with a great outcome. Great team of professionals who are interested in improving the lives of their patients with better vision. Also, the OP Surgical Center of Asheville gets 5 stars as well. Thanks to everyone who played a part in my cataract surgery.... especially Dr. Karo.
Had my first cataract surgery w Dr Karo last Fri, seeing better then I have in 30 years! It was my distance eye and I am reading with it! Looking forward to next one. Dr Karo and his staff are top notch. Also a shout out to the surgery center where he does his operation..super well oiled machine, great people.
I will have my second procedure with Dr. Karo next week. I am so pleased with his care, I plan to have him do all my eye care going forward. His staff is warm, personal, and friendly--Hi Tish, Hi Renee--and precisely professional--a rare combination. They all take time to explain things and answer questions with no pressure. The office is comfortable and attractive. I'm really glad I found them.
Due to a very positive previous experience, we made the decision to travel from our home in Ireland to take advantage of the skills and professionalism of WNC Ophthalmology.
