Was very excited to bring my parents to Fredericksburg. Was so disappointed at Winslows. I thought the Chicken Fried Steak would be a real treat for them as they don't have them at home. Steak was nothing but frozen patty you can buy at HEB. Gravy was light film on steak. And very expensive! Other reviews talk about table service. We had to go to the counter, order, and then go pick up the food at another counter around the side.

Lupita was great and friendly and that was the only thing great at this place. Don't believe the sign on the door that says "Where the locals eat" The food was terrible especially for the price. The Reuben Sandwich was processed meat and could have made a better one myself. I figured I would get a great chicken fried steak with all the cattle in the area, but it was a deep fried patty more than likely from Sysco distributors. According to the window display, this joint had the best burgers in town. After seating ourselves and very hungry, we are greeted by a waitress who promptly brought us our drinks. The service went down hill from there. We ordered salsa as an appetizer and two entrees. After ordering our food we watched the waitress behind the food service counter play on her ipad and sip on her redbull while we waited 10 minutes for our Salsa. SALSA takes 10 minutes!!!
