An extremely sad version of KC BBQ. I'm actually impressed it is still open. Most likely the location because it's not the food. Gates and Bryants are just a few blocks that way --->
The food there is fantastic and we had this waiter, his name is Pete, he was hilarious! He was attentive without being overbearing and made us feel like we were the only ones there. We will definitely be going back there again!!
Worse BBQ I have ever had. We got a full slab of ribs they were dry and hard and like shoe leather words if my husband.
Worst BBQ ever, Ribs were fatty, cold and tough.
Definitely not what I would call "good" KC BBQ. I orderwd the Burnt Ends Sandwich with fries & beans. The Sandwich was served on a large white bun with maybe 3 ounces of meat but the meat I received was dried out and stringy. I couldn't eat half of it. The beans were strait a can with zero smoke flavor and the fries were a freezer. The waitress did not come back to fill water even though I had downed it in 2 minutes trying to choke down the 2 bites of sandwich I had. Not a recommended place stop while at City Market.
Good flavor but a bit dry. Loved the atmosphere for a Saturday am. We had pulled pork and burnt ends.
Food was nasty and the waitress was bad, she scratched her breast area while taking our order..
We visited today after riding down on the streetcar. A seat yourself kind of place. The food was just edible. I had the turkey, it was kind of fatty. My husband had the ham and said it was good. But the worst service ever. The Coke machine needed to be 'switched out' and my husband didn't get his Coke until the end of his meal. It took the rest of us 15 minutes to get our drinks, mainly because our waitress was talking on the phone. The fries were over salted and portions very small. Probably won't return
After sitting at a table for almost 20 minutes,without being acknowledged by anyone, we got up and walked out. It was not busy, if it had been, I would have been more willing to stay. 2 waiters even had a nice conversation near us, but still did not acknowledge us. As we were leaving, we were finally spoken to by a nice busboy who told us, "Thank you for coming!" Very disappointed !!!
