Ron at the front desk is Amazing! Had a little mix up with room type at check in but Ron was able to work some magic and get us a room with two beds. Breakfast was great and room comfortable. Will definitely return.

One Star Unfortunately, this hotel was frustrating from the beginning and did not meet the standard I expected. When we arrived early, I specifically asked the front desk to call us if our room became available. They agreed, but when the room was ready, no one contacted us. That was the first example of poor communication. The larger issue was how the hotel handled its pet policy. Well, the room we had was massive, quite nice, nothing the complain about. Service was off the charts. We had booked for three nights but our vacation plans changed, so we had to cancel our last two nights, and they did that for us with no issues at all! Second, my daughter forgot a super special stuffy at the hotel when we checked out. Went back the same night to see if they had it, and the lady at the front desk was so kind, she gave me a key and let me go check the room to see if it was still in there. I don't leave reviews very often, but this hotel definitely deserves one! We're staying at the Wingate by Wyndham West Edmonton for three nights, and after just our first night, I'm already giving it a solid 9/10. If you're traveling with family, I highly recommend the family suite with two king beds. The room is spacious, with one bed in a semi-private area that gives everyone a little extra privacy. During my stay, I experienced multiple serious safety and service failures: At 12:25 am, the smoke detector in my room began beeping every 30 seconds. When I called the front desk at 12:30 am, I was first told “nothing could be done.” Since I am on dialysis, I could not move rooms. The detector was removed entirely, leaving bare wires and no fire protection, until a new unit was finally installed at 1:18 am.
