Some of the officers need to learn to put there phones down when driving. About 15 mins ago on officer was stopped at divison and Randolph not paying attention and almost pulled out in front of us and traffic going the opposite way and almost caused an accident because he was to busy talking on his phone.
I have recently learned that my neighbor's dog attacked and killed a much smaller dog, and injured a 10 year old. I am VERY disappointed that Officer Ball said he hadn't heard any complaints about the aggressive dog...especially when I contacted him in writing 10 days earlier with my concerns about both dogs at that address and their negligent owners. Taxpayers should know this information. (In pic) Also, fining residents for leaving their garbage can by the road longer than you think is appropriate, is ridiculous! Some people work out of town and are unable to be there to bring their can in. I’ve seen furniture and other items sitting by the road days after the garbage has gone, and that looks far worse than garbage can.
The Harvest Festival yesterday was delightful! The new park is a wonderful gathering spot--so much roomier than the government center. Good planning as to the street parking only being on one side of the street and allowing for traffic flow. Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard to plan this event.
Winfield PD seems to be more interested in patrolling Randolph for money through tickets than protecting Winfield from robberies and crime. Maybe venture away from 109th/Randolph intersection and patrol the neighborhoods tonight also.
