When we initially were looking for a local wine brewer, we were advised by a friend (and sommelier) to go to Winecrafters on Portland Street, Dartmouth. We were told that Allan (the proprietor) was very knowledgeable (also a sommelier) and had a great collection of quality grape products. Winecrafters provided excellent service for me. On my first visit Alan agreed to make a double wine kit I purchased from another supplier, plus one of his own single kits. Last Friday afternoon he helped me bottle, cork and label 93 bottles of wine. Alan did most of the work, including helping to load the finished product into my car. I’ve been making wine at Winecrafters with Allan for a while now, and he’s fantastic. Even though we bring in our own wine kits, he’s always happy to help and makes sure everything turns out perfectly. My husband also makes his IPAs there and always has a great experience. We especially love the bottling station—it’s so easy to use and makes that part of the process a breeze. Allan is incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with.
