Was shipped 6 bottles of red wine that froze in transit. Corks popped out, and all bottles leaked, with the bottles that were upside down half empty. labels were ruined, and the box was a sloppy mess. Emailed them, with pictures, but no response other than auto-response. Called today, and was offered 2, then 3, free replacement bottles. Not a full refund, because the wine was still "drinkable". Placed an order, credit card charged, never received confirmation, kept calling to an answering machine, 5 days later received an email that order was canceled.....and I am not the only one with this type of complaints, glad I to have dispute options with my credit card company

This business has zero interest in providing the minimal standard of customer service or admitting when they messed up. I placed an order online from them about three weeks ago. Nothing on their website at the time mentioned delays due to Covid19. Still, after a week passed without receiving a tracking number, I figured that they were short-staffed and gave them the benefit of the doubt as we all are adjusting to the current situation. I purchased six bottles of rum via the Wine Chateau website on April 13. I received a confirmation email and money was withdrawn from my account on April 13. On April 14 I received an email indicating "We request for your to please allow 5 - 7 business days to process your order." On May 4, I reached out via hello@winechateau.com for an update and received a standard response back with no specific information on my order (from a gmail account). This is by far the worst on-line shopping experience I have ever had. My order was done 1 month ago and today (120920) I advised them to cancel my order and refund my account. DO NOT USE THEM! It has been weeks now with 5 emails, never answered, 6 phone calls to customer service, and being on hold at least 20 minutes every time I called...Oh yea, they sure didn't waste any time charging my account over 300.00 within minutes of placing my order; I highly doubt I will ever see a refund. My order was never delivered. They used a shady delivery company with an F rating at the Better Business Bureau with over 9,000 complaints. It clearly says on their website all orders come Fed Ex or UPS — except mine I guess. This was one of the worst, most miserable order experiences of my life and with nothing to show for it except hours of wasted time. I would not recommend ever doing business with this company. Avoid this company - customer service is terrible. They charge your credit card immediately - then don't deliver. Plus outrageous shipping charges - so many better companies that have better customer service integrity... Never again...
