I placed a large wine order, they billed it to my credit card, but shipped it to the wrong address (a Texas address, I live in North Carolina). I had tried for a week to get a copy of the invoice, they kept telling me they have sent it to my e-mail but I never got it (not in my junk file either). When I finally got the FedEx tracking number from them, it confirmed that it was delivered to the Texas address. HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, BAIT AND SWITCH, SCAM. Ordered Vodka and they sent a cheap liquor and wanted me to accept it as equal. Fought to get them to send shipping label to return the incorrect product and demanded a refund. Have proof they received the return. Have email from Prutha that I would get FULL refund. NOTHING! Buyer beware. Do not recommend at all. Read the reviews and comments.
First time purchaser and will never use again. Ordered a single bottle on 12/9/22 and product was in stock and has not shipped as of today. 1/14/23. Sent email on 12/23 and received response the they were "cleaning the bottles" and the order was being packed "right now" with no follow up and no estimated delivery date.
Stay away. Consistent with innumerable other on-line reviews and complaints to the BBB, Wine Chateau advertises hard-to-find bottles that they do not have, and never had, in stock. When the buyer follows up regarding the status of the shipment (which will never arrive), the buyer is told that "the item is back ordered from [its] supplier" but that they are happy "replace it with something else in the same price range" or "swap it out" for a lesser bottle. The same story that others. Paid for 2 bottles of champagne. They charged my account immediately and sent me a note that the wine is on back order. I would never put the order in if I would know. It is impossible to cancel the order as there is no one picking up the phone. This is very shady company. Do put any orders as they never deliver.
Well, I wanted to send something to a keynote speaker we recently had for our annual sales kick-off meeting. He’s a Scotch guy, so I figured send a nice 16-year Lagavulin. Ordering was easy and WC had a great price. Unfortunately saving a few dollars doesn’t always pay off.
