Great birthday meal for Richard at last night at Wine Cask! The two most photogenic dishes were the "Leek Vinaigrette", a very creative & beautiful appetizer with blue cheese, carrots, buttermilk, & black truffle. Then the oh so tender Braised Lamb Shank with baby fennel, piquillo peppers, polenta, & 'orange dust'. It paired perfectly to the 2010 Donum Russian River Pinot Noir we brought. One of the best meals I had on my trip to Santa Barbara County. Highly recommended.
I was here for a wedding reception. The food was AMAZING!!! The butter was like crack. We couldn't get enough.
Charming and ideal for any occasion, the wine cask has an intimate dining room yet at the same time it's spacious. As an added plus they have a lovely courtyard for cocktails and I dancing.
One of my fave places in the entire world. Long live your dessert menu and truffle fries.
