We were about to close on a house in Beacon which had all brand new windows- Window World sticker still attached- when the inspector pointed out that the windows did not meet Beacon code. Despite selling the prior owner the more expensive 27’s, what they had given him were 28’s. We had to delay our closing, and Window World demanded we pay $250 for them to “transfer the warranty” to us, the new owners, to fix what should have been done correctly the first time.
