Great beach bar Beautiful view of the water, fun night life and awesome beach volleyball combine to make the Windjammer an Isle of Palms must visit. Either for a quick afternoon beer while surfing the beach or for a game of volleyball or for an all night party, you will not be disappointed.
Good Beach Bar, Watch out for the shady cover charge – A group of about 8 friends and myself visited the Windjammer last fall and had a pretty great time for the "off season". We got there a bit early around 8 or 9 after dinner at Cocunut Joe's and were having a lot of fun taking down some beers and playing quarters at the table...ya..we're classy, haha. Great place on IOP The Windjammer has been a stable on IOP since my family vacationed here when I was a child. They have a huge deck with a great view of the ocean and their one remaining volleyball court. They also have live music.
Ideal Beach Bar – The Windjammer is what you envision when you think of a "Beach Bar." It is located right on the beacj on Isle of Palms, SC. They always have a great band playing and a lot of big name bands come through there as well. On the weekends you can enjoy Volley Ball Tournaments and the Budweiser Bikin Bash. There is a very mixed crowd there which always makes for a great night.
