The house we rented was dirty and repairs/painting unfinished the day we moved in. After we finally moved out they pulled over $300 out of our deposit for a "house cleaning fee". When I specifically asked in an email if we could clean the house ourselves to avoid the fee and they said yes. Then when I called to ask why they charged us for cleaning even though we cleaned they said they had to check and cut contact for 2 weeks.
