Completely dissatisfiactory food. Ordered for 4 weeks and had 1 moldy grapefruit, 4 moldy ears of corn, 1 sour half gallon of milk, 2 cartons with brokens eggs, 1 bag of 6 bagels with every bagel moldy, 1 bag of 6 apples with 3 of them mushy, and the salads in their lunch packs are on the shelf at Walmart for $3 each! When I called in to cancel due to Winder Dairy not living up to what they promised they charged me a $50 cancellation fee and told me the only way they would refund the cost of the bad food is if I stayed with ... read more
Winder Farms is a scam. They sign you up by offering $50 in free food which never happens. They also have an early cancellation fee of $50 if you do not take 40 deliveries. The sales reps at your door or at farmers markets do not disclose this cancellation fee. There is a $15 setup fee which is actually $16.03. They charge a $3.49 delivery fee & make an incredible amount of noise when they delivery your extremely overpriced food in the middle of the night. Milk is $4.29 for a half gallon that leaks 75% of the time. They char... read more
Winder Farms is not upfront with customers about their business model. Their website does not say ANYWHERE that when you sign up you are signing up for 40 deliveries and if you cancel before 40 deliveries there is a $50 cancellation fee. Winder Farms is not honest; I do not trust them now because who knows what other hidden fees they will try to charge. As for the food, it is OK, but overpriced. Also you can't tell from the website if the food is local or organic, so you don't really know what you are getting until you get i... read more
I used Winder Dairy's services for 6 months and was consistently disappointed in the quality of their milk and produce. I often times got rotten produce and milk that tasted rancid. The prices are way too high and they will charge you for everything they can think of (including a $50 fee for cancelling their crappy service). They also are constantly trying to up-sale you with text messages, emails and pop ups on your online account. I did not appreciate being spammed by my milk company. I would not recommend signing up for W... read more
I had Winder Dairy for years when my children were little. The service was great at first but it got worse as time passed. The outside of the bottles of milk where always dirty and over time were just plain disgusting. I had to wash every bottle every time before putting them in the fridge or else my fridge would get disgusting. Then I had to wash the cooler since the bottles would get the cooler dirty. At first my milk was delivered at 7:00 a.m. over time it started being delivered later and later to finally end up being de... read more
We get the weekly delivery of the produce box. I am very disappointing by this produce box. When I was sold the box, they said they would first try to add fresh locally grown produce when in season and supplement with non-local items as needed. I have now gone through a whole summer getting this box and still we might get one locally grown item out of about 10 things. Summer boxes should be completely local fresh produce! Last week I got a huge bag of about 15 limes. What the heck am I going to do with 15 limes. The box is l... read more
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this before! I had tried some Winder products from the store but had no idea that they offered home delivery. This is so much easier and tastier ;) The milk is the best I've found but I also love the produce box (all my veggies have been fresh and tasty) and my guilty pleasure, the coffee cake. My family loves it and it's just so easy.
I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years with Winder Farms, from back when they were Winder Dairy. I have always had excellent customer service, the quality of the food is great, and the convenience of having my food delivered right to my porch every week is AWESOME since I work and have kids. No, this isn't the cheapest, but if you are looking for quality food, great service and convenience, this is a great service. Gotta try the milk in the GLASS bottles and the pumpkin ch. chip bread . . . killer!!!
YUCK! – These guys use hard sell techniques to lock you into a contract. You must pay a delivery fee each week AND have a minimum order of $10. If you cancel before 40 deliveries the fee is $60. Their milk is good but we got rotten vegetables. They forget items on our order every single week. The portion sizes are VERY small IE: the smoked mozzarella says it serves four but the portions are only 3 ounces.
