Easy to find. Short distance (very short) of gravel road. The deco is great and welcoming, clean and tidy.
A friend and I recently stayed at Harkham Lodge for a girls weekend and were blown away by how well we were looked after by the team. Taylor welcomed us warmly from the moment we walked in to the restaurant, and we felt so looked after that we ended up visiting twice more over the course of our two night stay. The food was incredible (mental images of the baked camembert have been living rent free in my mind) and the wines were the best we had tried throughout the Hunter (the Aziza Shiraz... oh my god). Spent the weekend at Harkham Lodge and just wow. The views were gorgeous, the place was super clean and cosy, and it was just the perfect spot for a chill girls weekend. Taylor absolutely nailed it. So genuine, friendly, full of laughs, and just totally on it. Every dish was insanely good, we couldn’t resist coming back for a second night. And the wines and desserts? Cherry on top. Stayed here for the ZZ Topp concert. After calling a few times and emailing with no response re transport to and from concert, I finally got through to Brooke, (I think owner/manager) the day before arrival, who suggested walking across the paddock (6.5 km!) Not responsible idea, especially at night, and there was a large waterway on route. Harkham Lodge should provide transport for concerts as a duty of care.
