Very rude owner/salesman
I had a very unpleasant experience at this hardware store. The male staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, he spoke to me in a disrespectful tone and even made personal remarks that were completely inappropriate. Customer service should never involve personal attacks. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
It’s a True Value franchise. True Value prices are ALWAYS higher for same thing at Ace Hardware franchises. The owner of this store has the most unkempt store and raises prices (gouging) on items that seem popular. Avoid if possible. Update for January 2026 - Checked on some lightbulbs - 19.99 - exact same item at Target for 10.99. Appears "regular" price is 14.99. Avoid this place - price gouging. Disappointed but not surprised. Great work and lovely people. A good experience overall.
Wow the proprietor of the store made me wait 20 minutes while he was putting away inventory and then after looking at me charged me $10 to copy a key that cost me half that amount a few months ago at the same store for the same key which is a very cheap schlage blank. Additionally this man was incredibly rude and went to serve another Chinese gentleman before me that just walked right in the store even though I had been waiting for him for so long.
