In case of something urgent, this is not the place to go. I understand they’re one of the only 24/7 emergency vets in town, and waits can happen—but the lack of communication and professionalism here was frustrating. We brought our dog in, and it was obvious he wasn’t doing well. After checking in, we waited nearly an hour just to get a cost estimate, with no updates. Wilvet took amazing care of my pup who is my entire world. They got her seen quickly, kept me updated on the entire process and let me see her as frequently as possibly. Their staff is so kind, transparent and knowledgeable. I really cant recommend them enough.
Went to this emergency vet because my dog got in a fight with a raccoon and had puncture wounds I was concerned about.. Vet came out after evaluating him and immediately started saying my dog had a allergy skin condition...my dog didn't(doesn't) have any serious skin issues...... When I asked about the puncture wounds, the vet said he didn't see any and saw scratches that weren't serious (there were obvious puncture wounds - albeit may not have been serious because he did end up healing up well)... We are so thankful to have had such a loving and great team care for our dog overnight in his stay. The vets were very informative and updated us regularly. The nurses were also so loving and accommodating. They took a very scary situation and gave us so much peace and comfort knowing our baby was left in good hands.
Although Frank didn’t make it, the compassion showed by the staff at Wilvet was very nice. They communicated well, and did their best. We wish it would have been different, but we were surrounded by compassion during this difficult time.
