Rude Plus – My wife and I had dinner there three weeks ago on a Saturday with four other couples. We were seated outside in the cold. We asked a manager if we could sit inside..she told us no. When we pointed out there was plenty of room inside she said those tables were being held for other guest. I guess we were not considered top notch guest. Great food and service – Had dinner at Wilshire for the first time last night. It is a good sign in this city to walk in to a very busy restaurant on a Monday night. We sat at the bar and had cocktails while we waited for our guests. The bartenders could not have been nicer. Sit down and Relax – We were invited by friends to dine a Wilshire in Santa Monica last night. There were eight in our party and we were seated at beautiful Oak table on the patio that sits next to a flowing fountain. We started with cocktails..great drinks with generous pours. On top of my LA Favorite list – I had dinner at Wilshire Restaurant over the weekend...long cold weekend. We arrived without reservations on Saturday night at 9pm. and had to wait about twenty minutes. I didn't mind because the restaurant was very busy. We sat in small room off Wilshire Blvd. I have eaten in the patio on my last visit. By the way the patio is a wonderfull place to dine. Hip, but not classy – Yes, Wilshire looks great, and the patio is spectacular. But last time I checked, restaurants were about more than just syle. On all other counts -- menu, food, service, ambiance, and price -- Wilshire is lacking. Don't miss this place – I had dinner for the first time last night at Wilshire. We were a party of five. Our group was seated on the patio under the stars. I don't think there is a better dining room or patio in Southern California. Minutes after we were seated we were served a complimentary appitizer of Raw Tuna with citrus. It was just a teaser. Great Restaurant! – We just enjoyed an amazing dinner there to celebrate our anniversary. This is a cool spot in Santa Monica. We sat outside on the terrace and although it was a bit breezy they had plenty of heaters to keep us warm. The menu has great variety of organic locally grown foods. The scallop appetizer is yummy. If you're a steak lover, try the Kobe Steak for dinner. Seems to attract a very hip crowd for the westside. Good service. I can't wait for my next meal there.
Great service, Good fun, Awesome ambience – The atmosphere is beautiful and romantic. The service is friendly and attentive- the hostesses are very pretty. The food is delicious. I love all of the salads that are served at lunch and the starters at dinner. The bar menu could be improved upon, as you can tell I frequent the restaurant a great deal. As far as the bar crowd and atmosphere goes it's a 30's crowd, not too rowdy and a nice place to relax and have a cocktail.
We had the best wedding reception at the Wilshire Resturant.. – Our guests were so filled on the appetizer by the time the main course came everyone was full. They continued to Eat....Everyone loved it... Thank you Chris, Sarah and Noah for making our wedding so special. What a party. This was a while ago but I had to mention it on city search must go and experience. The staff was so friendly and wonderful. We are regulars and love the food...especially the deserts.
