My WH Provider could not fit me in, so I was advised to go to "Todays Care". The wait time on the website (20 mins.) did not reflect the actual wait time. (2hrs 40min.) Once in the room, the PA came in the door with her mind set on a dx of UTI and/or kidney stone. No examination, no questions. I did not feel heard, and felt I was rushed out without any conclusion. After waiting that long, I expected better attention to care. PS - I had neither of the two Dx's that she had come up with- before meeting me.
The MA documented that she took my daughters vitals and when the NP came in reviewing the vitals we were so confused. She rechecked the system to make sure she was looking at the right patient. We told her that her vitals were definitely not taken and then she took her temperature which was different. We were there for breathing issues. The pulse ox should’ve been taken!
The wait was 30 minutes. The nurse & PA Yvonne were excellent; they listened to me & acted proactively to keep me from getting pneumonia again, unlike the PA I saw there in January who sent me home with pneumonia, telling me to rest & drink lots of fluids. Then the fact was that I was so sick I couldn’t find the strength to even read let alone do anything else. They completely missed it & it resulted in me being very sick for half of January bedtime my doctor’s PA diagnosed pneumonia & put me on antibiotics.
Dr. Meisel is the best PCP I have ever been to. The entire staff is excellent and friendly here. I highly recommend this office.
