I normally don’t do reviews but I feel compelled to write one today regarding my visit at the Urgent Care located in Porters Neck, NC. When I arrived I didn’t know what to expect due to a very bad experience many, many years ago with another medical office. The gentleman that helped me check in was very pleasant, professional, and friendly. So I thought it can’t get any better but it did. Walking into Wilmington Health Today's Care in Porters Neck, I was honestly a little anxious, but that feeling didn't last long. Everyone I interacted with treated me with genuine kindness and respect. They listened to what I had to say instead of making me feel rushed, answered my questions, and made sure I understood everything before I left. Checked in and called back quick. The entire staff that I interacted with was friendly. I felt seen and heard when trying to explain why I was there. I would go use them again any time I couldn't get into my doctor's office.
I was greeted promptly by the lady at the desk and she wrote my information down and told me to have a seat and she'd call me when they can see me.
My WH Provider could not fit me in, so I was advised to go to "Todays Care". The wait time on the website (20 mins.) did not reflect the actual wait time. (2hrs 40min.) Once in the room, the PA came in the door with her mind set on a dx of UTI and/or kidney stone. No examination, no questions. I did not feel heard, and felt I was rushed out without any conclusion. After waiting that long, I expected better attention to care. PS - I had neither of the two Dx's that she had come up with- before meeting me.
