I appreciate the dedication of the staff to caring, and getting patients the help they need. I have been home a few days and I got the help I needed for my PTSD, BIPOLAR, ANXIETY SOCIAL ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND they even discovered I am a diabetic. Id say 95% of the staff are absolute Angels and are there because they actually care. I have been in and out of dr's for years trying to get help with no Luck untill I came to this place. The day staff was incredible!!! They made me feel as though I could ask any questions I was having, whether it was about my stay or my mental health. I wish I could remember all their names, but Aaron, Jon and Roy were amazing. The therapists Anna and Patty were also very caring and provided a lot of information. However, the night staff didn’t seem to care for us as patients at ALL. It's the worst mental health I ever seen. They can't keep Dr's. On staff.
They misdiagnosed me based on the statement by a nurse at Floyd ER. I explained the misunderstanding and the doctor later apologized for the "mix-up and confusion." But that doesn't make up for the 3 days I was treated based on a misdiagnosis. Also the staff nurses were rude and could not be bothered with questions.. they showed zero empathy when I told them I needed to leave to go be with my best friend who has cancer. The techs were great though. Tbh, they are the only ones who helped me.
