A month ago I experienced a pelvic hernia. I was referred to Dr. Willkomm who had the same issue. I found Dr.Willkomm and his staff to be patient, attentive and professional. He explained my options of a traditional surgery or robotic surgical procedure. He took his time answering all my questions. At the hospital, he met with me about 30 - 45 minutes before the surgery. I am the caregiver, medical advocate for my wife, Donna. I can give Dr. Willkomm the highest possible review and commendation. I sincerely believe he has saved her life. He did an emergency Roux-en-Y procedure several years ago and a Cholecystectomy recently. He is incredibly deliberate in his decisions and extremely patient caring. I give the highest recommendation.
This is not my first surgery with Dr Willkomm. He saved my life 2001 and he did it again on 6/3/26. His bedside manner and honestly when he speaks is so comforting. His office staff and his PA are top notch. I can not say enough of how much respect I have for this man and the skill he has displayed
Dr. Willkomm performed an inguinal hernia repair on me 2 weeks ago and I have nothing more to say than his whole staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Venice are absolutely Amazing. For our first contact in the Sarasota Memorial Emergency Room to completion of the procedure everyone we encountered were very professional, personable and capable. Every step of the way I was kept completely informed, comfortable and pleased with the outcome.
