Great place for Mojhito's – The new design is very bright and new aged. I like it much better then the fish on the walls. The chef's specials are to die for wish I could eat here every day. Just a little expensive. But worth the splurg once in a while.
Got Food Poisoning – A friend and I had lunch here. We had heard good things about it so decided to try it. The food was okay, nothing special, but not bad either. We got back to work and both of us were sick for the rest of the afternoon. We both called the restaurant and talked to a couple of different people. They couldn't have cared less! The response was basically "who cares". I was amazed at their lack of responsibility and professionalism. Will never eat here again!
Wait staff too pushy with sales. – Remember me when you sit down and the waiter trys to get you to order a cocktail followed by a salad or soup, then there is a push if you are at lunch they will try to get you to order off the dinner menu. It never stops. It's not a little pushy, it's prevasive. It drives me nuts. Since we take clients there, when we are approached by the salesman/waiter, we tell them to drop the sales job and just bring us water. We'll let you know what we decide. Yeah Baby!!! This IS the place! – We work downtown and have fallen in love with this un-assuming Denver locale. The menu is full of great steaks, seafood specialties, yada yada yada but we tend to order the consistently amazing nightly specials. The service is detailed and high-end but not starchy. It's hard to find "professional" servers anymore with all the restaurants populated by peppy yet unskilled twenty-something collegiate part-timers. Are You Serious... – Came in for dinner with two friends the other night and we were greeted by a server at the door. She kind of gave us the up and down look (we were in jeans and tees) and seated us at a corner both in the back of the restaurant; out of view. Wednesday Night at...... – We arrived to the 16th St Mall by cab. We we're staving so Willie G's looked like an inviting place. The menu was available in the lobby with prices. Great staff,great service,great food! – In Denver for a week long convention, I was excited to try the local restaurants. Based on the reviews on the CitySearch site, we tried Willie G's last night, and could not have been more pleased. The restaurant is very easy to find, right on the 16th Street Mall, and we were seated right away by a very cordial hostess. The Best – I love this place, great food, great service. I try and get down ther once a month and order the snapper. It's like buuuuter!
