I arrived at this facility and the security is very tight. It is upscale and push in it's interiors. I was referred by another montefiore doctor who i encountered in the emergency room at Montefiore Einstein Hospital. Montefiore is militaristic i the way they run their programs, it strikes me. i am referring ot the security guards. You better watch out, but you re glad for the protection in this world. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at this office, the doctor (Dr. Mena) and the from staff as well as nurses do theirs jobs in a professional manor.
Doctors here are pleasant, but the staff is horrible. Impossible to reach someone at front desk. They use a call center to prevent speaking with someone at location directly. If you some how get a call back the location staff makes it clear that they want to do the absolute minimum & even had one tell me " I don't want to get involved, better look it up yourself" when trying to get some guidance & support. For such a small facility, where I know there arent any patients, they dont pick up the phone. You can call them for a week like I did, not once did anyone pick up the phone. Lazy front desk workers, unprofessional and unorganized. Terrible facility.
The reviews had me worried, but I followed my amazing doctor from brooklyn (Crystal Marquez) to this location in the bronx. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment. It was really fast that I didn't get a chance to finish filling out the paperwork given to me. Vitals were taken, and shortly afterward, my doctor came in.
