Williams-Sonoma is mecca for cooking buffs. The Beverly Hills store is huge. I could (and do) spend hours there. Their selection of cooking utensils is great. I'm also a gadget junkie and they have tons of specialized cooking gadgets that the staff is happy to talk to you about and answer questions. Lots of specialty items, too. Years ago (when I lived in Baltimore) I looked all around town for a heart-shaped waffle maker. I found it at one of the Baltimore Williams-Sonoma stores. Don't go there hungry. No longer shop here since management changed – I used to be a very frequent shopper but no more since the former managers and most of the staff left. I know buy the same items at Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate and Barrel and even Whole Foods, often for less.

Worst Customer Service – This is a great looking store, and I think their products are probably good but the staff at this location was incredibly snooty. They ignored my wife and insulted me in the course of about 5 min. We were the only customers in the store and were ignored while looking looking for cookie cutters. I tried to find a bathroom with my daughter and was verbally assaulted. If you value customer service at all stay away. Williams-Sonoma Ruins Christmas – After much research I purchased my mother-in-law’s Christmas gift from Williams-Sonoma online in November. It was on backorder with a note that it wouldn’t ship until Dec 17 so I called and was assured it would still arrive by Christmas. Dec 22 it still hadn't arrived and, when I called, I learned that the item had been discontinued and would not be sent. W-S had made no effort to let me know. wedding gift regestry – we bought 3 items and got 3 but one was not as it appeared on our reciept they charged us for a mesh grill pan $39.95 and we wanted the tree spirit mineral oil for $6.95 hense we paid to much because we opened the wraped gift and found that we got the oil and were charged for the pan. The total cost to us was $10 for gas (135 mi. round trip) and the $23.00 over charge.
