I just walked through the entire store with my mom. We were the only customers in the store and the two ladies working there didn’t even acknowledge us despite both walking right past us. My mom had to say “hi” to the one lady just to make a point when she walked right by us. It was beyond strange. Unfortunately we were going to do a wedding registry there but we will now be going to crate and barrel. Highly disappointing when you’re in a customer service role.
The Geneva, IL location is a lovely store, however, the sales associates are often so busy unpacking boxes that they do not acknowledge customers. I have walked the entire store without one associate asking if I need help. The shelves are often over crowded, especially at holidays. I go to the Oakbrook store now even though I live in Geneva.
Would give this store zero stars if I could. Stopped in for the second time on 1/20/26 and had an awful experience. Not a single worker acknowledged me or my mom. When we were ready to check out, there was 2 workers doing 1 transaction. She only had bought one thing. The workers kept looking over at us and giving us weird looks and not saying anything so we decided to not purchase our item and leave. Poor experience on Sunday, 1/4/26 - I’ve never shopped at Williams-Sonoma for my favorite kitchen brands like All-Clad & Le Creuset, and I don't think I’ll ever return after my first experience. I received an All-clad double burner griddle for Xmas, in the non-stick version. We cook off enameled cast iron and stainless steel only. Despite this, I gave it a try and was not happy with the way it cooked. My intention was to exchange for the enameled version or worst-case, return and buy the enameled version off Amazon.
